Game Day Healthy Recipes for Your Next Fall Football Party

Fall often means NFL season, football playoffs, and friends gathering for tailgating. I love sports, but I can honestly say I’m not a diehard football fan. However, I am a die hard get together with friends to eat and drink and catch up kind of fan-ha! Whether it's the Super Bowl or just a college football weekend, here are some football party snacks that align with health goals!! These recipes I am sharing are great to bring to a friend’s house to share, and to make sure there is a healthy snack or meal on the menu! Click on the image for each recipe.

Hummus Dip

This Mediterranean Hummus dip is a great tailgating recipe. Pair it with veggies, gluten-free crackers, or pitas for a flavorful and healthy game day appetizer.

Grilled Wings

No football party is complete without wings! Is there anything that makes you think of a football party more than a delicious plate of wings? This grilled version is healthy, and a good protein option to bring to your next party.

White Chicken Chili

Perfect for football viewing parties, this white chicken chili is both delicious and nutritious. I’m not sure I have met a white chicken chili that I didn’t like. This one from Eating Bird Food checks all the boxes- carbs, protein, and fats and it’s delicious too! Make it ahead and throw it into your crockpot so guests can eat it all day.

Carnitas

A tailgating favorite, these carnitas can be the star of your football-themed taco bar. Make ahead in your crockpot and then serve so many different ways! My favorite is a taco bar with all the fixings or made into sandwiches or bowls with rice and toppings. This protein-packed dinner is an awesome option to bring to any party, and it will help you slay that protein goal!

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bars

I love a sweet treat, and these are delicious and so easy to make as they are NO bake! Made with healthy ingredients, these are the perfect dessert to bring to share with friends. A sweet finger food treat for any football party. The kids will LOVE them too.

Oat Flour Brownies

For those looking for a football-themed dessert that's also healthy…Who doesn’t love a chewy, chocolatey brownie? The flavor in these easy-to-make, healthy brownies is off the charts. Bringing this version of a sweet favorite won’t leave you wishing you hadn’t grabbed dessert!

These recipes are not just for those on a diet but are perfect game day recipes for any football enthusiast looking for a tasty treat during the NFL season or college football weekends. Going to a party or hosting one yourself, these recipes will be a hit, and you will feel good knowing you are making a healthy choice! I love spending time with friends and I want to be sure that I can do so, while still keeping my goals in mind. No after-party food remorse here!
