Healthy Recipes for Your Thanksgiving Feast!

I love Thanksgiving. I love the simplicity of the day, no gifts, just spending time with family and friends, feeling full of gratitude for all of the abundance in our lives! We love to cook and eat on Turkey Day, let me tell you! Some of our family favorites are on the not so healthy side, so I like to make sure I have some healthy options to serve at dinner as well! Life is all about balance, am I right?! Enjoy the cheesy potato bake but throw some extra protein in there too! I found so many options for you to bring a healthy dish or two to your Thanksgiving too! (All recipes are linked by clicking on the images).

Shrimp Cocktail

This is the easiest appetizer to bring to Thanksgiving Day. And it’s one of my favorites because Shrimp is such an amazing source of protein. 3oz has 19g of protein!

Muhammara

This red pepper dip is so flavorful, clean and healthy! Serve with veggies or gluten free crackers for a tasty appetizer!

Curry Roasted Cauliflower and Sweet Potato

The flavors in this side dish are over top fantastic. This is a vegan and gluten free side dish that EVERYONE will love.

Healthy Greenbean Casserole

Ok. This is LEGIT good. I love green beans but feel like the casserole usually served at Thanksgiving is full of processed stuff I don’t like. Bring this side dish to your dinner and everyone will be asking you for the recipe!

Quinoa and Mushroom Stuffed Acorn Squash

The Pioneer Woman makes some amazing recipes, and I was excited to find one that was healthy and full of yummy ingredients to serve as a delish side for your Turkey Day dinner.

Crispy Brussel Sprouts

4 ingredients,10 minutes of prep time and 30 minutes in the oven. EASY, and so good for you!

Sheet Pan Thanksgiving Dinner

You know your girl doesn’t like to spend a long time cooking anything, so when I found this sheetpan option for a small group ready in an hour-I was sold!

Herb and Garlic Turkey Breast

When we do Friendsgiving, everyone brings all sorts of dishes. This turkey is a smaller serving, so it’s perfect when you have a table FULL of food!

Healthy Pumpkin Pie Bars

We all love a slice of pumpkin pie, right?! These bars are gluten and dairy free, and so dang delicious. Just like the traditional pie but in a bar!

Almond Flour Apple Pie

Gluten free and tastes like your grandmother’s famous apple pie. A delicious healthy option to bring for dessert!
